I list 5 types of friendly games:
1. against international competition
2. against local non-NASL competition. These were usually preseason warm up games.
3. against NASL teams in tournaments such as the Sunshine International or the Trans-Atlantic Challenge Cup (TACC).
4. pre-season games between NASL teams. I do not list NASL preseason games in the friendlies list, but do include them on each team's page.
5. Games not involving NASL teams, but played as part of an NASL package. These were usually doubleheaders.

Special Thanks Ole Vöhringer and Will Plazewski. They have made so many contributions to the Friendlies section that I can't name them all.
